  • 1998 Flash Freight Systems moves its first shipment

    A load of molten aluminum, shipped as a dedicated private fleet carrier

  • 2000 Our first crossborder shipment to the USA

    We keep an automotive plant running against all odds

  • 2004 Flash Freight joins the Spruce Brook family

    Gerber family takes over operations. Service area expands, and the “big yellow logo” is born

  • 2005 Flash Freight achieves CTPAT/PIP and FAST registration

    Registration with CBSA and CBP establishes the company's position as a trusted trader

  • 2007 Brantford location opens

    Temperature control and direct store delivery services begin

  • 2009 Fleet reaches an equipment milestone

    More than 70 power units on the road

  • 2012 The US / Canada border thins

    Integrated electronic communications with US and Canadian customs services streamlines service to our clients

  • 2016 Onboad technology rolls out across our fleet

  • 2017 UFSTP certification

    Flash Freight solidifies its commitment to safe and secure food transport, becoming UFSTP (Uniform Food Safety Transportation Protocol) certified

  • 2019 Addition of Elmira Terminal

    an additional 9 acre property is purchased with yard and warehouse space in Elmira, ON to facilitate future growth and services expansion to key clients for our trucking business.

  • 2020 Ariss warehouse expansion completed

    completion of a significant warehouse expansion to enhance our service offerings in the ingredients space.

  • 2021 Guelph warehouses added

    Guelph 1 and Guelph 2 added, totalling an additional 100,000 sq feet of space to allow us to improve our service levels to our existing ingredients customers, while also allowing us to expand our warehouse and supply chain offerings into the consumer products and project management space.

  • 2022 Direct Rail access added

    With the acquisition of 27 acres located in Guelph, ON - our supply chain services take a significant leap forward with the construction of our own rail spur served by both CN and CP to facilitate the shipping of inbound and outbound product.

  • 2024 Ariss W2 Distribution Centre Added

    Ariss W2 facility is added. This purpose built food grade distribution center features 18 dock doors for efficient pickups and deliveries, while adding 55,000 sq feet of owned storage facility for our 3PL warehousing clients.

  • 2025 SC S1 Distribution Center Added

    Structuring our business to serve our clients needs means a move in a southern direction, with the opening of our first US distribution center located in Spartanburg, SC. Located only a few minutes from the SC Ports Greer Inland port, this 45,000 sq foot facility provides an excellent entry point to the American market for our international clients and a ideally situated hub for distribution in the Southeastern States.
